What is a gearbox?

The gearbox is an important part of the gearing assemblage. Gearboxes have a multiple gearing system in order for the car to move and gain speed. The gearbox has a gear stick attached to it which helps the driver shift from gears 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6 and R for reverse; of course heavier vehicles can have more gears.
