What is a Headlamp Motor?
A Headlamp Motor control unit is for operating the motor of a motor driven headlamp carrier mechanism. This includes oscillator circuitry for generating a series of pulses for energizing the motor, voltage responsive means for sensing a motor counter-EMF related voltage as an indication of motor rotation. The output circuitry for interrupting motor energiser is when the voltage responsive circuitry senses motor stall, and start circuitry for energizing the motor which is independent of the oscillator circuitry for a period of time sufficient to produce motor counter-EMF. This control permits connects the headlamp carrier with fixed mechanical stops without the use of position or torque limit switches.
Motorized headlamp adjuster
A motorised headlamp is an adjuster which is operable and connectable to a control circuit which is engaged with a headlamp assembly. Specifically, the headlamp adjuster includes an adjuster output shaft which is engaged with a reflector of a headlamp assembly. The headlamp adjuster includes housing, and the adjuster output shaft extends from the housing. The adjuster output shaft has a sealing member attached which seals with the housing. Also, the external surface of the housing also has a sealing member which engages and seals with the housing of the headlamp assembly when the headlamp adjuster is fitted. The headlamp adjuster is sealed, and seals with a headlamp housing when installed. Preferably, the headlamp adjuster is relatively easy to assemble, and does not include several complex components.
