About Landing Slam Bodys

A    Iveco landing  slam  body   is   an   extremely   important   part   of   a   motor   vehicle’s construction  that  assists  in  minimising  the  damage  that  the  vehicle  might  sustain  in  a  front  end collision. The Iveco landing  slam  body panel can be found beneath the vehicle’s bonnet. It is made up of a rigid metal cross section that extends across the front of the car. Its primary role is to  protect  the  parts  that  are  located  in  the  engine  compartment  and  at  the  front  of  the  vehicle.  It also has a secondary role in that the vehicle’s headlights and its front grille are also attached to it.

As with all metal car body parts the Iveco landing  slam  body is liable to damage and wear and  tear  through  rusting. Although  this  type  of  damage  can  be  minimised  by  keeping  the  part as clean  as  possible  it  will  sometimes  become  necessary  to  replace  it,  especially if  it  is  damaged  in  a collision.  Although  a  replacement    Iveco landing  slam  body may  be  relatively  easily accessed  from  a  motor  parts  supplier,  because  of  the  potential  difficulty  in  fitting  it  and  the importance that it plays in protecting various vital components of the vehicle, it may be prudent to have it professionally fitted by a qualified motor mechanic.

Iveco trivia

  • Iveco is actually five different European companies that formed in 1975. The brands from Italy, Germany, and France decided that they'd make more of an impact by pooling their resources, and the gamble certainly paid off.
  • Between 1975 and 1979 alone, Iveco had more than 200 basic vehicles for sale, with over 600 versions in total! No wonder they had got such a big market share so quickly.
  • As winners of the IF Design Award in 2020, Iveco has joined the ranks of some of the most beautiful and practical products in the world. The prestigious award is granted to only the best in designed products, and the Iveco S-Way is the perfect example.
  • In 1986, Iveco signed a deal with Ford to create Iveco Ford Truck Ltd, intended to make it easier to break into the British car market.
  • In 2012, Iveco started partnering with supermarket chain Asda and delivered 250 delivery vehicles to the chain's fleet. The total order was for 700 vehicles.
