Vauxhall Tigra Overview

The Vauxhall Tigra is classed as a roadster sports car that was produced by the British automobile manufacturing company Vauxhall Motors. There were two different versions of the Tigra, from 1994 to 2000 and 2004 to 2009. The first version was a 2-door coupe and the second was a hardtop convertible. They are both based on the supermini Vauxhall Corsa. These cars are both small and very stylish. The second version has a retractable roof which packs into the rear boot. They have good safety features and are well equipped. They are not the most practical, lack comfort and handling capabilities. Does this sound anything like your experience of this car?

History

The first version (1994-2000) was a sports coupe which was based on the first generation Vauxhall Corsa. The body design and interior were nothing like the Corsa, but most of the mechanics were shared. This version had two seats in the front and in the rear. This version was available in 1.4 and 1.6L engines. The second generation (2004-09) was introduced 4 years after the end of the previous Tigra. This version was a 2 seater roadster with a hardtop retractable roof. It also had a 1.3L diesel engine, which was very economical. Production ended in 2009.
