Gearbox problems
Problem:
Are you having problems changing into second gear? Does it make a crunching noise when changing gear? The 145 has known issues with the 2nd gear syncro.
Solution:
You will need to replace the gear syncro, so as to resolve this issue.

Engine idling problem
Problem:
If you are having problems with the engine idling very erratically, then it is usually caused by either a fault with the MAF (Mass Air Flow) sensor, and/or the throttle body becoming clogged up with carbon. The idling should be at a constant speed instead of the rev needle jumping up and down erratically. Is the problem in the video below, any thing like yours?
Solution:
You can get some MAF sensor cleaner and clean the MAF sensor, in order to fix this issue. If it is not the MAF sensor causing the problem, then you will also need to clean the throttle body, by using some throttle body cleaner and a tooth brush. This should sort the idling issue.

Starting problems
Problem:
Are you having difficulty starting the car? Has the engine management warning light appeared on the dashboard? If the answer is yes to both these questions, the most likely cause of this problem is a faulty crank sensor.
Solution:
Fitting a replacement crank sensor will resolve the issue. We can help you to find a replacement crank sensor, at a very low price.
