Loud starting noise
Problem:
On the petrol engine versions of the 166, the timing variator is prone to failure. This can make the car sound more like a diesel fueled car than a petrol one. Does the sound in the video below, sound anything like yours?
Solution:
You will need to replace the timing variator, in order to stop the noise and fix the problem.
