Audi S4 Common Problems and Solutions
Electric window problems
Problem:
If you find that the windows are going to go up, then you most likely have a problem with the window regulator.
Solution:
You can attempt to fix the window regulator. If you want to give this a try, watch the video below. If this does not work, you will need to fit a replacement window regulator, so as to sort it out.
Difficulty level
Air conditioning problem
Problem:
If you have begun to notice that the air conditioning is not working as it should, the S4 is known for having problems with the A/C condenser. If the A/C is not blowing out ice cold air, then you may have an issue with the condenser.
Solution:
You will need to fit a replacement A/C condenser, in order to fix the problem.

Headlight condensation
Problem:
If you have noticed that water has condensed on the headlights, this is a known issue on the S4. This problem seems to be more of an issue on cold mornings.
Solution:
There are three options for you here: Either you can leave the condensed headlights, you can drill holes at the bottom of the headlight covers, in order to allow the water to drain out, or you will need to purchase replacement headlights.

Starter motor failure
Problem:
It is known on the S4, to have issues with poor starter motors. If you have a faulty starter motor, then you will notice that there is nothing happening at all, when you try to start the car.
Solution:
Fitting a replacement starter motor will sort the problem.

Coil pack failure
Problem:
These cars are known for having coil pack failures. If this is the case, you would notice the engine idling very roughly and that it could also be misfiring. The coil pack failure is common on several different Audis.
Solution:
You will need to fit a replacement coil pack, in order to resolve the issue. There was a revised coil pack made, which lasts longer than the original coil.
