Citroen Synergie Common Problems and Solutions
Engine cutting out
Problem:
If you are finding that the engine is cutting out when you come to a stop or you try to let the engine idle. If you are also finding that you are losing a lot of power when driving, then these are all symptoms of a problem with the high pressure fuel pump or a problem with a fuel sensor.
Solution:
Have a diagnostic check done to identify exactly which is at fault and then replace the faulty part. The fuel sensor is the cheaper option but Breakeryard can help you find the replacement part you need at very low prices.

Side sliding door failure
Problem:
The Synergie side sliding doors are known to stick, making them difficult to open and close. This fault is caused by the runners. You may also find that the door doesn't run the full length of the runners. This is due to damaged runners.
Solution:
You will need to replace the runners to rectify the situation.

lack of power/poor performance
Problem:
The Synergie has a known issue with a part called the 'swirl valve diaphragm'. If you are suffering with a lack of power or poor performance, this is the likely cause. The swirl valve diaphragm is responsible for helping work the valves. If this is broken you would only being working off 4 valves instead of 8.
Solution:
If you replace the swirl valve diaphragm then this should resolve the issue.
