Daewoo Leganza Common Problems and Solutions
Starting problems
Problem:
Most starting problems on this car are caused by a faulty camshaft position sensor. If this part has failed the engine management warning light will appear on the dashboard. The sensor is known to overheat, which causes it to fail, resulting in the starting problems.
Solution:
This issue was subject to a recall and the camshaft position sensor will need replaced to rectify the issue.
Difficulty level
Hesitation/ poor idling
Problem:
The EGR valves are prone to getting blocked with a carbon build up. If the EGR valve gets blocked it can lead to some or all of the following problems: hesitation and a lack of power when you try to accelerate, poor engine idling and surging. If you are facing any of these issues, you need to clean out the EGR valve.
Solution:
As mentioned above, you need to clean out the EGR valve to fix the problem. You can do this with a tooth brush and some carb cleaner. Watch the video below for an idea how to do this yourself and save a small fortune.

ABS warning light
Problem:
Has the ABS warning light appeared on the dashboard of your Leganza? This problem is most likely caused by the ABS reluctor ring cracking which causes the warning light to appear on the dashboard. When this ring breaks, it can also end up damaging the ABS sensor.
Solution:
You will need to correctly identify which wheel the problem is on. You can do this by running a diagnostic check. Once you have identified which wheel, you will need to replace the ABS reluctor ring and if the sensor is damaged you will need to replace this too. We can help you find the replacement ABS parts you need for your Leganza at very low prices.
