Tailgate rattle

Solution:
As mentioned above, you need to clean these parts to resolve the issue. You can remove the IAC and EGR valves and use some carb cleaner and a small toothbrush to remove the carbon build-up. This should resolve the problem.

Boot motor failure
Problem:
The automatic boot motor is known for failing on the RX300. If you notice that the automatic boot makes a clunking noise when you press the button to open or close it, this indicates the motor is starting to fail. If the boot does not open at all, then the motor has completely failed.
Solution:
Replacing the boot motor will resolve the issue.

Problem:
When you open the bonnet, do you notice that the bonnet struts are not supporting it as well as they should? If so, the bonnet struts are known to fail prematurely.
