Nissan 370 Z Common Problems and Solutions
Clutch problem
Problem:
The 370Z has a known issue with the clutch master cylinder. If you have noticed that the clutch pedal is staying on the floor and not returning to its position, or that it is returning to position very slowly, then the clutch master cylinder is the cause of your problem.
Solution:
This is an expensive part to replace, but if your vehicle is still under warranty, the clutch master cylinder replacement is covered. Quality replacement master cylinders can be found with us.

Steering lock failure
Problem:
The 370Z is known to have problems with the steering lock failing. There can be a number of causes from as simple as a key needing reset, to a solenoid needing replacing and the steering lock mechanism to fail. The most expensive of the three is the steering lock mechanism failure. The video below shows how to disable the steering lock so you can drive it, but is more of a temporary solution:

If your vehicle is still under warranty, this problem is covered. Otherwise, you will need to take it to a specialist to correctly identify which problem is causing the failure.

Bonnet alignment problem
Problem:
The 370Z can have issues with the alignment on the bonnet, as it is a specially designed 'pop up' bonnet. The 'pop up' bonnet is designed to cushion someone if they are hit by the car.
Solution:
You would need to get a specialist to re-align the bonnet and this could be an expensive repair. You may choose to leave it and not do anything about it.

Boot release failure
Problem:
It is known on the 370Z for the vehicle to suffer from problems with the boot release mechanism. This problem is caused by the spring on the boot release mechanism wearing down and not working properly. This means you will not be able to open the boot properly from the button in the cabin, or from the manual release on the boot.
Solution:
Replacing the boot release mechanism will resolve the issue. If the vehicle is still under warranty, you should get it fixed free.
