Problem:
The 207 judders and jitters when you’re driving.
Solution:
There are three possible reasons for this problem. It could be the engine control parameters, a defective gearbox, or an issue with the engine mounts. Start by doing a diagnostics check. If that reveals no issues, then you’ll need to inspect the gearbox. If this is faulty, you will need to buy a replacement gearbox from our 207 parts list and replace it. Problem:
The turbo function doesn’t kick in when applied.
Solution:
This is very common in the earlier models of the 207 and wasn’t rectified by Peugeot until 2006. It mostly affects 1.6-litre models, and it’s down to oil starvation. You’ll find that the oil supply pipes have become clogged by carbon deposits, and that means a time-consuming replacement task. You’ll need to replace your oil pump, the pick-up pipes, and the turbo itself. You can now buy these at a low cost from us, and installing them will usually take around thirty minutes.
