Jittery Driving
Problem:
The 207 judders and jitters when you’re driving.
Solution:
There are three possible causes for this problem. It could be the engine control parameters, a defective gearbox, or an issue with the engine mounts. Begin with a diagnostics check. If that reveals no problems, then you’ll need to inspect the gearbox. If it is faulty, you will need to purchase a replacement gearbox from our 207 parts list and install it. If your gearbox appears to be fine, then the issue is likely with the engine mounts. You can buy them very easily, and replacing the faulty ones is simpler than you might think.

Loose Fixing on Front Seatbelt

Solution:

Bumpy Ride
Problem:
The car is very rough to drive.

Turbo Failure
Problem:
The turbo function doesn’t activate when engaged.
Solution:
This issue is quite common in earlier models of the 207 and wasn’t addressed by Peugeot until 2006. It mainly affects 1.6-litre models and results from oil starvation. You’ll find that the oil supply pipes have become blocked by carbon deposits, making it a labour-intensive replacement job. You’ll need to swap the oil pump, the pick-up pipes, and the turbo itself. These parts are now available at a low cost from us, and installation typically takes around thirty minutes.
