Peugeot 807 Common Problems and Solutions
Vibrating and Shaking
Problem:
The car is vibrating and shaking excessively when the engine is running. The car may pull to one side when driving, and there are probably some loud squealing/clunking noises.
Solution:
The ball joints in the front suspension are extremely prone to premature wear, which is what's happening here. The good news is that installing the ball joints is fairly simple, and there are plenty of online guides available that will walk you through the process. You can also order new ball joints directly from us for quick delivery.

Rear Wiper Stops Spraying
Problem:
There is water in your rear wiper reservoir, but it has stopped spraying water.
Solution:
Take off the rear O/S panel that you can find behind the rear seats. You'll see a push-fit joint, and it's very likely to come apart. Pop it back into place, and your water should start to spray again.

If changing the filter doesn't solve the problem, then try cleaning out a few breather pipes and replacing the O2 sensor. All very straightforward jobs that anyone can do themselves.

Side sliding door failure
Problem:
If you have noticed that the side sliding doors are not running smoothly along the runners, this is a common problem on these vehicles. Due to these doors being electrically operated, a fault with the runners can lead to failure with the motor, if the runners are not fixed quickly.
Solution:
The runners are integrated into the body work. When you change the runners, you will also need to touch up some of the paint work. Fitting new runners quickly will help preserve the motor, and will make the doors run smoothly in the runners.

Stiff Brake Pedal
Problem:
The brake pedal has become much harder to push down, and overall braking efficiency has dropped.
Solution:
Any stiffening of the brake pedal is generally a sign that your brake vacuum pump is worn out or damaged. 807s built between 2005 and 2006 are particularly prone to this issue, but it can affect almost all models. You'll need to replace the brake vacuum pump, which you can find easily in the BreakerYard online store.
