Problem:
If you are hearing a whining noise coming from the gear lever, it is due to a fault with the release bearings. When you put your foot on the clutch, the noise will usually go away.

Electric window problems
Problem:
If you are having problems with the electric windows, it could be due to one of two causes. If you are finding that the windows are sticking a bit, it is due to an issue with the rubber seals. If the window goes down but will not go back up, this is caused by a plastic clip on the window regulator breaking.
Solution:
For the problem with sticking windows, all that is needed is to lubricate the rubber seals with something like WD40. You will need to replace the plastic clip on the window regulator to resolve the issue with the window not going up.

Engine cutting out
Problem:
One of the main causes of the engine cutting out on the 200 is for the cranks position sensor to fail. If this part is failing you may also be noticing that the engine is idling very erratically, with the revs jumping up and down instead of remaining constant.
Solution:
You will need to replace the crank position sensor to fix this problem.
