Key fob problems
Problem:
There are known issues with the key fob not working properly. If it is not working right, you will have issues with the central locking and the immobiliser. The issue is related to the key fob losing the correct code.
Solution:
You have to have the key fob reset to fix the problem. You will need to have this done by a professional. Before doing this, check that it is not a flat battery in the fob. Watch the video below to see how to change the battery:

High engine idling
Problem:
If you are having problems with high idling, the ECU is the usual part at fault.
Solution:
Before you go and purchase a replacement ECU, check the stepper motor is working ok. If the stepper motor is ok, it is the ECU causing the problem. We can help you find a replacement ECU at a very low price.

Electrical problems
Problem:
The Metro is known for having several different electrical problems. These issues can vary from headlight failure to central locking problems. The usual cause of electrical issues is bad earthing.
Solution:
You will need to check the earthing points around the engine bay to ensure they are clean and connecting properly. This should sort the problem, but if it does not then the fault could be with one of the components of the part in question.

Problem:
There are known issues with the heater resistor failing on the Metro. If this part fails you will most likely be noticing that the heater is not working on all settings. It might not be working on only one of the settings, or could be more.
Solution:
You will need to replace the heater resistor to fix this problem.
