If the warning light does not go out, you may need to remove the DPF and clean it manually, or there could be an issue with the sensor.

Solution:
This isn’t a very common problem, but it can affect some 2-litre TDI diesels. It is caused by either a faulty fuel pump relay or the turbo unit. Check the fuel pump relay first, as this is a simpler and less expensive fix.
