Subaru B9 Tribeca Common Problems and Solutions
Cracked fog light
Problem:
Have you noticed that the fog light on your B9 Tribeca has cracked? This seems to be a fairly common problem with this vehicle. As the fog lights are so low to the ground, this certainly makes them prone to damage. Be careful, as this issue could lead to moisture getting into the unit, which would lead to a replacement unit.
Solution:
You can get some 3M film to apply over the fog light, so that this stops any moisture getting into the lens. The only other solution is fitting a replacement fog light unit.

Climate control problems
Problem:
The climate controls are known for failing on this vehicle. If you have found that the Air conditioning is not working as it once did, or there is a fault with one of the controls, it is most likely caused by faulty connectors. If they become damp in any way, they corrode, causing problems with the climate control functions. Have a look at the video below. Is this anything like your problem?
Solution:
You can clean the ribbon cable connectors to fix this problem. This can save you from having to purchase a replacement climate control unit.

Starting problems
Problem:
Are you having any problems starting the engine on your B9 Tribeca? Do you just hear a clicking noise, when you turn the key in the ignition? If yes to one, or both of these questions, it is usually caused by a flat battery, because of a faulty alternator. You may also find that it starts, but soon dies out, especially when you have several electrical devices running simultaneously. This is an indication of alternator failure.
Solution:
You will need to re-charge the battery and fit a replacement alternator, in order to fix the problem. We can help you to find a replacement alternator, at a very low price.
