Limp Home Mode

Problem:

The car has gone into the limp home mode, and there are a variety of dashboard warning lights illuminated.

Models affected:

Solution:

While there are many reasons for a Frontera to go into the limp home mode, but by far, the most common reason is a vacuum hose issue. Open the bonnet and check your small-bore vacuum hoses. They join a lot of sensors together, so if even one of the hoses is worn or damaged, it will affect vehicle performance. Replace any worn hoses with a new one from BreakerYard. If that doesn’t resolve the issue, then you're going to need a full diagnostic check.
