DPF sensor warning light
Problem:
If the DPF light has come on your dashboard it means there is an issue with your DPF (Diesel Particulate Filter). This filter helps lower the emissions in the exhaust system.
Solution:
Try running the vehicle in 3rd gear at 50-60mph for 15-20 mins to heat up the DPF enough to burn off any particulates. If this does not work then you will have to replace the DPF.

You could try rubbing it down with a wire brush, wire wool or something similar and then filling it in and repainting the affected area. If it's too corroded, you will need to replace the whole panel.
Problem:
If the power steering on your vehicle has stopped working, then this is a common problem for these vehicles. The power steering pressure pipes are known to fail.
Solution:
You will have to replace the pipes to sort the problem out.

This is a common problem on these vehicles. You should check behind the rear wheels of your Monterey for corrosion. If it's bad enough, it could lead to an MOT failure.
