The Ford Transit Connect has been in production since 2002 and the new 2014 version is an updated version of the second generation (2012-present). We have written a full Transit Connect review which you can view by clicking here. You can also share your personal experience of this vehicle.
The Transit Connect is the smaller version of the extremely popular Ford Transit panel van, and this is also becoming as popular a choice as its namesake. The 2014 Transit Connect won International van of the year 2014, which is a massive achievement.
The 2014 model has improved in areas such as a better quality interior design and the vehicle as a whole has a more upmarket feel than its predecessors. There is also a really good choice of engines available on the 2014 Transit Connect which we have listed below. This vehicle drives like a small family car, is comfortable and the storage space in the rear is pretty good.
The 2014 Transit Connect is available in the following engines: 1.6L TDCi diesel engine and 1.0L or 1.6L EcoBoost petrol engines. The diesel engine comes in 3 variants: 75, 95 and 115PS. The best engine in terms of fuel economy and emissions is the L1 Econetic 95PS 1.6L diesel engine. This offers 70mpg and 105g/km emissions.
All versions have the 5-speed manual gearbox as standard and the Transit Connect comes in the following variants: Panel Van, double-cab in van and Combi. It has some neat touches with folding front seats and a hatch in the bulkhead for carrying loads such as pipes.
This is definitely a van worth considering, and the prices range from £13,921 - £19,130.
