These cars are one of the most affordable large cars on the American market and are very comfortable and spacious inside. They are also reliable and worth considering. Does this sound like your experience of this car?

Ford Taurus History

The first generation (1986-91) Ford Taurus was received with instant success, and was to become one of the top selling cars in America. This was the first front wheel drive Ford had produced for this market. This was a very luxurious car for its time.

The second generation (1992-95) gave the Taurus an updated look and was slightly larger than its predecessor. A newly designed dashboard gave the interior a new look.

The third generation (1996-99) was a total redesign compared with the previous two versions. It was a strange, oval looking design which you either loved or hated. Despite this new design, it remained the top selling car in America.

The fourth generation (2000-07) removed the oval design and used less expensive parts on the vehicle, to bring the price down and make it more affordable to all people.

The fifth generation (2008-09) had a new look when compared to the previous version.

The sixth generation (2010-present) was to be a very popular car. It was facelifted in 2013 and is the current version on the market.
