The Vauxhall Ampera is classed as a small family which is produced by the British automobile manufacturing company Vauxhall Motors, which is a subsidiary of the German company Opel. These vehicles are plug in hybrid cars which are extremely eco-friendly. They are very efficient but are also very expensive to buy. They have good safety features, well-refined engines and well equipped. They don't have the best handling and are not the most spacious vehicles. Vauxhall Ampera History
The Vauxhall Ampera was introduced in 2012, and is almost exactly the same vehicle as the Chevrolet Volt which was introduced in 2010. The main differences are the exterior design, with Opel/Vauxhall adding their own personal designs to such parts as the front grille and the rear end. This car has won various honours, including World green car 2011 and European car of the year 2012. Sales of these vehicles are yet to fully take off, but amongst this type of car, the Ampera is amongst the most popular. This car scored highly in the Euro safety tests, scoring a maximum 5 stars.
