Renault Avantime Overview
The Renault Avantime is classed as a coupé MPV (Multi Purpose Vehicle) which was produced by the French automobile manufacturing company Renault. This vehicle was only in production for a very short time between 2001 and 2003. This vehicle tried to bring together the MPV with a Coupé and was developed by Matra. This vehicle's design was based on the Renault Espace. Due to its limited production and low demand, there are not to many of these on the roads of the UK and Europe. They have a very unique styling and most models are well equipped. They are not as practical as you might expect and no diesel engine didn't help sales.
Renault Avantime History
The Renault Avantime was first produced in 2001 and its design was based on the Renault Espace. This car was produced by Matra, who are closely connected with Renault. The design doesn't have any B-pillars, which is a common feature on 2+2 coupes. These vehicles featured many innovative design features and the Avantime was produced at a time when Renault were known for 'breaking the norm'. This vehicle somehow never took off and sales were very low on the continent and in the UK. These low sales led to the eventual collapse of Matra and the discontinuation of this vehicle in 2003.

Although there was 2.2L diesel engine available in this vehicle across Europe, it wasn't available in the UK. It was only the other two, 2.0 and 3.0L petrol
