The Honda CR-V has topped the charts for the small SUV market for the past 10 years in the US. This is a very popular vehicle which has seen its best sales figures last year in 2013. Honda sold over 300,000 vehicles that year and looks set to beat that record in 2014, with more than 240,000 vehicles sold up to the end of September this year. They still have three months to sell less than 60,000 vehicles which is highly achievable for this automobile manufacturing giant.
This has seen a 5% increase in sales to this point of 2014 compared with the same point in the previous year. This sounds pretty good but when you take into consideration that the small SUV market has seen a 15% sales increase this year so far, it shows that rival competitors have stolen some of the market away from Honda.
As there is such a variety in this market with some exceptional vehicles available at very good prices, this seems a great time for Honda to release the new 2015 CR-V. The new 2015 Honda CR-V sees some interior, exterior, mechanical and technical upgrades which greatly improve the overall look and feel of the vehicle.
We think this latest model will certainly take back some of the market for Honda, particularly in the US.
