The new Honda HR-V is expected to go on sale in the UK by the summer of 2015 with prices expected to begin at around £16,000.
The latest version of the HR-V is set to be officially unveiled at the 2014 Paris Motor Show in a fortnight's time. This will be the first time the HR-V name has been used on a Honda compact SUV since 2005.
The new HR-V will be based on the latest version of the Honda Jazz and it was first seen in 2013 as the Honda Urban SUV concept. It keeps the stylish looking creases as the Urban concept and has black cladding with contrasting diamond cut alloy wheels. It also keeps the hidden rear door handles from the concept SUV, maintaining the sporty look.
Honda are keeping the interior design close to their chest, waiting to unveil it at the Paris Motor Show, but it is known to include Honda magic seats which allow the rear bench to be folded completely flat. The engine range is also unknown, but will share several of the engines with the Jazz, with the European version expected to include a diesel option.
The new HR-V is set to be one of the largest compact SUVs in this class, measuring 4295mm long, which is 160mm longer than the Nissan Juke and is still longer than the larger Vauxhall Mokka.
We are really looking forward to the official unveiling of this compact SUV.
