MG TF Overview

The MG TF is a roadster car produced by the British car manufacturing company MG Motor. This car was based on the MG F which was previously discontinued in 2002 and replaced with the MG TF. These cars are rear-wheel drive, mid-engine roadsters. The MG TF is a good choice if you are looking for your first small sports car. They look good and are very affordable while they are not the best at steering. It is well worth considering if you are after a roadster and has some great safety features. What do you think about this car?

MG TF History

The Mark I MG TF (2002-05) was named after the TF Midget from the 50’s while being a replacement for the MG F. There were a lot of changes made to this vehicle from the vehicle it replaced. It had a brand new suspension system and new engines. It had quite a few exterior changes as well and was the first car of this class to receive 4 out of 5 stars in the Euro safety tests. This car ceased production in 2005 when MG Rover went under.

The Mark II (2007-11) started production in 2007; 2 years after its predecessor had ceased production. The Chinese manufacturing company Nanjing Motors bought over MG and brought out the Mark II version. It was still based on its predecessor but had some changes made to the exterior and interior. Production ceased in 2011 due to low demand for the vehicle.
