Renault Kangoo Overview
The Renault Kangoo is classed as a panel van or LAV (Leisure Activity Vehicle) which is part of the MPV (Multi Purpose Vehicle); usually referring to MPV based vans. This vehicle is produced by the French automobile manufacturers Renault. These vehicles are either used as a small van or as small people carriers/passenger vehicles. Although this vehicle isn’t the most stylish or good looking, in fact its really pretty horrible looking, it is very practical and has loads of room inside. The available engines are good and the vehicle has good versatility.
Renault Kangoo History
The first generation (1997-2007) was mainly designed as a people carrier, but the rear windows and seats could be removed to turn it into the panel van version. This vehicle is popular with disabled people, especially wheel chair users due to its ease of accessibility and its mounting points for wheel chairs. The Trekka 4x4 version became available in 2002. In 2003 there was a makeover, mainly to exterior parts, which brought in the familiar Renault styling front end and teardrop headlights.
The second generation (2008 - present ) is the current version in production. This version is based upon the Renault Scenic, and is used as one of the vehicles in the French postal service. The Kangoo Express was introduced in this generation, as well as the ZE electrical version.
