Overview

The Chrysler Crossfire is a sports car which was produced by the American automobile manufacturing company Chrysler. This vehicle is available as a Coupe and a Convertible and was produced between 2003-2007. This is a very stylish looking car which shares most of its components with the Mercedes SLK Class. You do not see too many of these on the roads around Europe making them a desirable unique sports car. It has unique styling which is very eye catching and is reasonably priced and very well equipped. It is also a very reliable car which is well built, but is pretty cramped inside and the interior is not of the highest quality. The V6 engine is very powerful and this car is good fun to drive. Does this sound anything like your experience of the Crossfire?

History

The Chrysler Crossfire was released in 2003 for the 2004 model year. It is built on the Chrysler ZH platform which is based on the Mercedes-Benz R170 platform. The Crossfire shares over 80% of its components with the Mercedes SLK320 and is a 2-seater sports car. The Crossfire name is referring to the two sharp lines that run down each side of the vehicle and was introduced during the time that Chrysler was owned by Daimler-Benz, the same owners as Mercedes-Benz. Sales were never massive for this car and was discontinued in 2007 for the 2008 model year. This happened as Chrysler were looking to restructure themselves.
