Fiat Ulysse Overview

The Fiat Ulysse is classed as a large MPV (Multi Purpose Vehicle) and is part of the Italian manufacturing company Fiat’s vehicle range. This vehicle is part of a joint venture between Fiat, Lancia and PSA Peugeot Citroen. The vehicle is designed and manufactured by the French company Sevel and is also sold as the Citroen Evasion, Peugeot 806 and Lancia Zeta with just a few minor differences with each version. These are well refined vehicles, but the rear space isn’t as spacious as you would expect. It is well worth considering if you are looking for a vehicle in this class. What do you think?

Fiat Ulysse History

The first generation (1994-2002) Ulysse has the rear sliding doors, making access to the rear easier. Another innovative design feature is the handbrake being on the side of the door and the gearstick on the dashboard to allow a passage between the two front seats. You can have up to 8 seats, with the third row offering a 3 seat bench or two seats. This vehicle had a makeover in 1999. The second generation (2002-10) version was larger and had design changes to the lights, grille, bumpers as well as other parts. The interior was made more modern and the body shape was made rounder. Production of the Ulysse ceased in 2010 and was replaced with the Fiat Freemont.
