Renault Safrane Overview
The Renault Safrane is classed as an executive car which was produced by the French automobile manufacturing company Renault. This vehicle was in production from 1992 to 2000. This car was Renaults most luxurious car when it was in production and was eventually replaced by the Renault Vel Satis. The Safrane name has also been used on a Renault model from 2008, which is sold and marketed in the Gulf. It never did become very popular in the UK due to the bad reputation of its predecessor, the Renault 25. it was one of the leading executive cars on the continent. This car was very well built, well equipped and very luxurious. They were spacious, comfortable and had some quality engines. Does this sound like your experience of this car?
Renault Safrane History
The Renault Safrane was produced as a replacement for the Renault 25 in 1992. This Renault was the top of the range Renault car of the time, and was the first Renault to have airbags and was only available as a 5-door liftback. It was designed in this way, to be an alternative, not a competitor, to the German executive cars which had a stranglehold on the executive class. The really good build quality of this car was due to the poor build quality of its predecessor, rectifying this with the Safrane. It was facelifted in 1996 to try and help the low sales. It received new front and rear ends but this didn't help with the poor sales. It was discontinued in 2000 and replaced with the Renault Vel Satis.

The Renault Safrane was available in 2.0, 2.2, 2.5 and 3.0L petrol and 2.1, 2.2 and 2.5L diesel
