Nissan Largo Overview
The Nissan Largo is classed as a passenger van and was produced by the Japanese automobile company Nissan Motors. These vehicles were 7 or 8 seaters which were produced from 1989-98. These vehicle are also known as ‘people carriers’ or in some markets as MPV (Multi Purpose Vehicle). The Nissan Largo was real value for money and is a real comfortable ride. The driving position is good and they are very reliable. They are very spacious in both the cabin and the boot space. Nissan Largo History
The first generation (1989-92) Largo was based upon the Nissan Vanette C22. It was a lot more modern looking than the Vanette and could also be bought in 4WD version.
The second generation (1993-1998) was based on the Nissan Serena, but a more upmarket version with better features and better equipped, basically more luxurious. The Largo was discontinued in 1998 and had no direct replacement.
The Nissan Largo was available in 2.0 and 2.4L petrol and 2.4L diesel engines. The 2.0L diesel engine was the more economical of the available engines, offering up to 34mpg. Which engine did you have and how did it perform in terms of fuel economy? Remember to think about the age, fuel type and engine size of the vehicle when considering fuel economy.
