Renault Megane Coupe Overview
The Renault Megane Coupe is classed as a small sports coupe and is based on the Renault Megane. These vehicles are produced by the French car manufacturing company Renault. This is available as a 2-door front wheel drive car. This is a great looking car which is well priced but doesn’t have much room in the rear, lacking in both head and leg room. The re-sale value is not as strong as some competitors in the small coupe sector, but these cars are well equipped and have a good range of available engines. Renault Megane Coupe History
The Megane Coupe I (1995-2002) was designed as a sporty version of the Renault Megane. It was introduced in 1995 and received a makeover in 1999 which mainly affected the grille design and added extra safety features to the vehicle. There wasn’t a Coupe version produced for the Megane II, so it wasn’t until the Megane III (2008-present) that the Coupe was re-introduced. The new Coupe design was seen as very aggressive and very sporty, which caught the eye when seen. A makeover version was introduced in 2012.

The Renault Megane Coupe has been available in a variety of different
engines. The petrol engines have been 1.2, 1.4, 1.6 and 2.0L and the diesel engines have been 1.5, 1.6, 1.9 and 2.0L.
