Volkswagen UK have brought out a Christmas social media video to thank their supporters and customers for their commitment to Volkswagen over the last year.

The video was created by Tribal Worldwide, London and lasts for around a minute and a half which includes the People's Choir travelling around different parts of London in their Volkswagen Sharans singing carols and giving out VW mince pies to bring cheer to people across the city.

James Hogwood is the creative director at Tribal Worldwide, London and he said the following: “Volkswagen is a brand that’s all about people and making life better for them. So when we’re trying to put seasonal smiles on the faces of our Volkswagen fans, it felt natural to bring those values to the fore.”

The social media campaign run by Volkswagen UK has targeted three of the main social media websites: Facebook, Twitter and Youtube. This shows the power of social media these days and how important it can be for advertising.

Silke Anderson is the Communications Manager at Volkswagen UK and this is what he had to say about the Christmas video: “I loved the idea of spreading a little warmth and festive cheer with the People’s Choir from the people’s car brand.”
