Peugeot iOn Overview
The Peugeot iOn is classed as a hatchback electric car which is produced by the French automobile manufacturing company Peugeot. This vehicle has been in production since 2010 and is basically a rebadged Mitsubishi i-MiEV. The iOn is a rebadged version of this vehicle and along with the Citroen C-Zero, they are sold in the European market. Peugeot and Citroen are both part of the PSA Peugeot Citroen group, which merged the two companies in 1975. These vehicles are very expensive to buy but they have no running costs and zero emissions. These vehicles are not the best to drive, there is not much space inside and doesn't have the best handling. They are well equipped, have good safety features, but lack refinement. The Peugeot iOn was first brought onto the market in 2010. This vehicle is a rebadged Mitsubishi i-MiEV with a more stylish exterior, but that seems to be the only differences. One of the main problems with this vehicle is that they are very expensive to buy but are also available to lease. Another problem is that finding recharging points are very rare. The price of these to buy is very expensive but the savings on fuel is massive, in fact costless. This type of vehicle is a real buzz at the minute, and could it be the future of motoring?
