Volkswagen T4 Overview
The Volkswagen T4 is classed as a commercial van which was produced by the German automobile manufacturing company Volkswagen. Midway through the life of this vehicle, Volkswagen created a separate section called Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles who this van was produced under. This vehicle was introduced in 1990 and this vehicle is more commonly known as the Volkswagen Transporter worldwide and as the Volkswagen eurovan in America. These vehicles are known for their great build quality and lasting a long time with few problems. They still hold their value extremely well and can be quite expensive to buy second hand. Does this sound anything like your experience of this vehicle?
History
The Volkswagen T4 was introduced in 1990 and was in production until 2003. This vehicle was a replacement for the Volkswagen Type 2, T3 model which was really starting to look aged. The T4 (or better known as the Transporter) was a very successful commercial van and brought Volkswagen into competition with the likes of the Ford Transit. This meant the change from the rear mounted air cooled engine and into the now common front mounted, water cooled engine. This was the first VW van to officially use the Transporter title. After a long period of production, it was replaced with the T5 in 2003.
