Audi Q7 Overview
The Audi Q7 is a luxury SUV (Sports Utility Vehicle) and was the first vehicle of this type to be produced by Audi. Audi is part of the German vehicle manufacturer, the Volkswagen Company. This vehicle began production in 2005 but wasn’t released for sale until 2007. This is a very large and classy looking SUV, which has plenty of different engines available and is a good enjoyable drive. The vehicle is very expensive to buy and costly to run.
Audi Q7 History
As mentioned above, the Q7 was the first vehicle of this type to be released by Audi. Since then the Q5 (2009) and Q3 (2011) have been released. The Q7 was made for on-road conditions and if used frequently off-road it would need a transfer case fitted. All models of the Q7 are 4x4 Quattro.
The vehicle had a bit of a facelift in 2009 which affected mainly the exterior and interior. On the exterior it was mainly the lights that were changed with some slight alterations to the body and wheels of the vehicle. The interior had changes to the dashboard, seats and trims.
In 2011 it received another makeover with changes again to the lights; a new 8-speed gearbox also became available. There were some major changes to some of the available engines and better fuel economy was possible on some of the engines.
Models

4.2 FSI Quattro
3.0 TDI clean diesel Quattro
4.2 TDI Quattro
6.0 TDI Quattro
Fuel Economy
As can be seen from the above models, there are two different petrol versions and three diesel versions. The 3.0L diesel
engine is the best economically for this vehicle but generally the Q7 is not the best economically. It is not made for its fuel economy and is not the best in its class for this category.
Transmission
There is only automatic transmission available for this vehicle. It comes in either 6 or 8 speed automatic. Breakeryard has a section of our website dedicated to
