One of the more popular features that is seen in many commercial vehicles is the mesh bulk head. The mesh bulk head is fitted behind the driver and passenger seats of the vehicle and serves to provide a barrier between the driver and any passengers and the cargo that the vehicle is carrying. A mesh bulk head also ensures that the contents of the rear of the van cannot be accessed from the front of the vehicle, keeping them secure from the risk of theft.
Most bulkheads are made from a rigid steel frame, which is securely attached to the body of the vehicle, and a mesh interior. It is easy to have a mesh bulk head fitted to a van. They are manufactured to fit every make and model of van and are easy to find and relatively easy to install. They provide protection and, because they are made of a mesh construction, they do not reduce the light in the back of the van. Additionally, because they are normally quite sturdily constructed, a mesh bulk head offers additional protection to the driver and passengers in the event that the van is involved in a collision that results in it rolling over.
