Problem:

Are the seats on your roadster wet after it rains? The roof is known for leaking, where it connects with the front window.

Exhaust manifold failure

Problem:

If you can hear a loud cracking noise coming from the top of the engine, this means you have a cracked exhaust manifold. This is most common on the 1.9L engine and you will hear the noise better with the bonnet open.

Engine misfiring

Problem:

Are you having any problems with the engine misfiring? The revs should be constant instead of moving up and down erratically (misfiring). There is a known issue with the valve timing on the Z3, particularly on the 1.9L engine.
