Second generation Fiat Uno (1989 - 1995)

The second generation Uno was first shown at the Frankfurt Motor Show in September 1989. The design was changed to match the corporate look of the new Fiat Tipo. The bodywork at the nose was updated, and a different tailgate was fitted to improve drag coefficient. The interior was also revised, with the pod switchgear replaced by stalks. The old 1.1 litre engine was replaced by a new FIRE version. Production ceased in Italy in 1995 where a total of 6,032,911 units were built. Fiat began production of the Uno''s replacement in late 1993, which would be the Fiat Punto.
