What are the three lights in a headlight

Headlights usually have a dipped beam, a sidelight and an indicator and depending on the age of your car you can also have daytime running lights (DRL)

Dipped headlights are the most commonly used headlights; they are brighter than sidelights, but not as bright as full beam headlights. They get their name as they are angled downwards, towards the road.

Sidelights are most often used when parking. It's advisable to turn on your sidelights at night when you're parking on the side of a busy road. This will help other drivers to see you easily, avoiding any potential accidents.

Indicators are used when you are either signaling left or right to let other drivers know you are turning or your intention to turn, Indicators are also used if you are going to overtake another vehicle on a dual carriageway or a motorway.
