About Pillar Trim Moulding
Xsara Citroen pillar trim moulding is a protective or decorative strip attached to the pillars on the vehicle.
The pillars on a vehicle are the almost vertical structural posts that support the window, door and roof areas of a car and connect the roof of the vehicle with the base of the frame. Usually steel or aluminium, the pillars in a car are solid structures, which are welded at one end to the car's frame and at the other to the roof panel and are positioned between the windows or doors. Pillar trim moulding is usually made of plastic or metal, such as brushed chrome, and can usually be attached to the pillar with clips or adhesive pads. It offers additional protection from minor damage such as scrapes and dings and also adds detail or accents to the car's styling.
A vehicle can be styled with trim/moulding in many places both internally and externally to improve the aesthetic appeal of the car. Trim moulding is designed for the specific make and model of the vehicle. The Xsara Citroen pillar trim moulding offers protection from day to day wear and tear and protects the paintwork of the body panels. Trim or moulding is also offered as optional extras on many models and is used to enhance the car's appearance and styling.
The Xsara Citroen pillar trim moulding could become damaged due to wear and tear, sun damage or minor accidents.

The Citroën 2CV was designed for driving on French roads, so it was incredibly sturdy, and tests were carried out by driving through ploughed fields with trays of eggs on the seats. Although changes in design happened, some version of the Citroën 2CV was in production from 1949 all the way through to 1990.
- John Lennon appeared in an advert for the Citroën DS3, many years after his death. The advert caused quite a lot of public criticism for Yoko Ono, who agreed to the musician's likeness being used.
- In 1968, Citroën bought control of the Italian car firm Maserati. That purchase led to the design of the Citroën GT, which came with hydro-pneumatic suspension and a V6 engine. It did well in terms of sales, but production of the last version, the DS23 Pallas Electronique, was stopped in 1975 after the '73 oil crisis.
- In 2019, the Citroën DS was voted in the UK as the 'coolest car ever', with writers and marketers calling it the Brigitte Bardot of cars. In second place was the E-Type Jag…
- At a recent count, Citroën cars have appeared in just under 1,800 films, with the most famous being the Citroën used in the James Bond film, For Your Eyes Only. That film even had a tie-in car, a special edition Citroën that was emblazoned with the 007 logo and optional bullet hole stickers for the windows.
