About Landing Slam Bodys

A    Nissan landing  slam  body   is   an   extremely   important   part   of   a   motor   vehicle’s construction  that  assists  in  minimising  the  damage  that  the  vehicle  might  sustain  in  a  front  end collision. The Nissan landing  slam  body panel can be found beneath the vehicle’s bonnet. It is made up of a rigid metal cross section that extends across the front of the car. Its primary role is to  protect  the  parts  that  are  located  in  the  engine  compartment  and  at  the  front  of  the  vehicle.  It also has a secondary role in that the vehicle’s headlights and its front grille are also attached to it.

As with all metal car body parts the Nissan landing  slam  body is liable to damage and wear and  tear  through  rusting. Although  this  type  of  damage  can  be  minimised  by  keeping  the  part as clean  as  possible  it  will  sometimes  become  necessary  to  replace  it,  especially if  it  is  damaged  in  a collision.  Although  a  replacement    Nissan landing  slam  body may  be  relatively  easily accessed  from  a  motor  parts  supplier,  because  of  the  potential  difficulty  in  fitting  it  and  the importance that it plays in protecting various vital components of the vehicle, it may be prudent to have it professionally fitted by a qualified motor mechanic.

Nissan trivia

  • Nissan’s sporting history kicked off in the right way when they blasted their way to victory in the All Japan Automobile Competition, Japan’s first-ever racing event. The NL-75 destroyed the competition, thanks to its supercharged DOHC engine.
  • Most people think of the Skyline when they think of the Nissan, but the car featured in the Fast and the Furious franchise wasn't actually designed or built by Nissan. Instead, it was built by a car company called Prince, which Nissan merged with in 1966. The name Prince was phased out, and the Nissan Skyline was born.
  • Car accessories can range from the amazing to the redundant, but nothing manages to balance somewhere between the two more than the doorframe umbrella compartment that came with the Nissan Pulsar GTi-R.
  • Known as the ‘supercar killer’, the iconic Nissan GT-R is currently ranked third in the world for getting around the Nürburgring track in Germany. One circuit took the supercar just over seven minutes.
  • The Nissan Patrol began production in 1951, making it the oldest production SUV on the planet. Admittedly, the design has changed a bit since ‘51.
