Engine Technology
Volkswagen's engine range includes some interesting designs from the TSI and TDI range of petrol and diesel motors. The TSI or Twin charged motor is a combination of turbocharging, supercharging and direct injection which results in maximum power and drivability with minimum environmental impact. This move has also allowed downsizing to a great extent, with a 1.4L TSI engine delivering as much power as older 2.0L engines and the 1.8L and 2.0L TSI engines delivering as much power as former V6 engines without as much burden of their fuel economy.
