About Landing Slam Bodys

A    Toyota landing  slam  body   is   an   extremely   important   part   of   a   motor   vehicle’s construction  that  assists  in  minimising  the  damage  that  the  vehicle  might  sustain  in  a  front  end collision. The Toyota landing  slam  body panel can be found beneath the vehicle’s bonnet. It is made up of a rigid metal cross section that extends across the front of the car. Its primary role is to  protect  the  parts  that  are  located  in  the  engine  compartment  and  at  the  front  of  the  vehicle.  It also has a secondary role in that the vehicle’s headlights and its front grille are also attached to it.

As with all metal car body parts the Toyota landing  slam  body is liable to damage and wear and  tear  through  rusting. Although  this  type  of  damage  can  be  minimised  by  keeping  the  part as clean  as  possible  it  will  sometimes  become  necessary  to  replace  it,  especially if  it  is  damaged  in  a collision.  Although  a  replacement    Toyota landing  slam  body may  be  relatively  easily accessed  from  a  motor  parts  supplier,  because  of  the  potential  difficulty  in  fitting  it  and  the importance that it plays in protecting various vital components of the vehicle, it may be prudent to have it professionally fitted by a qualified motor mechanic.

Toyota trivia

  • They might be one of the biggest and well-known brand names in the world, but Toyota is still very much a family business. Every CEO so far has been a descendant of the original founder.
  • The first car company to produce over 10 million cars in a single year (which they did in 2013), Toyota also boasts the record-breaking sales of one Corolla sold every 37 seconds (every 27 seconds in 2013). That made the Corolla the best selling car of all time!
  • Incredibly, there are more Toyota made cars on the world's roads than any other vehicle. It's not just high sales figures that make that viable either. Their durability means that even Toyotas that were sold 20 years ago are still on the road!
  • The Toyota company got its start making automated looms in 1033. Founder Sakichi Toyoda even invented the automated loom and then sold them off to try and get into the car industry. There is still an arm of Toyota that is still in the textile industry!
  • As well as the best selling car of all time, Toyota is also responsible for the longest-running production on a car model ever. The Toyota model Land Cruiser started production in 1951, and as of 2019 has sold over 10 million units!
