About Heater Blower Fan Motors

The Lexus heater blower fan motor is responsible for moving air through the car's cabin heating (and if fitted cooling) system. Much like a desk fan the heater blower motor rotates a fan which causes air to be forced through the ducting and out the vents in the car's dashboard or floor.

The Lexus heater blower fan motor is generally located behind the car's dashboard and is connected to a network of ducts which allow the fan to move air to various areas of the interior. The motor has a resistor which allows the speed to be varied via a switch or lever on the dashboard.

The Lexus heater blower fan motor can fail due to a bad connections, damaged wiring or switch, a blown fuse, a worn resistor, worn motor or because the fan is stuck or jammed against another internal component.

Lexus trivia

  • The 24 hour Nurburgring race is always a good event, but Lexus were the first to enter the race with a hybrid car, the RX 400h. Its success in the event led many other manufacturers to look more closely at hybrid cars. Now, Lexus sells more hybrid cars than any other manufacturer, and in the UK, as many as 95% of all Lexus cars sold are hybrids.
  • Although you could buy a Lexus car almost anywhere in the world, it wasn't until 2005 that they started selling in Japan!
  • Lexus seats are made of leather. However, the leather has to come from cows that are kept on farms that don't use barbed wire.
  • You won't find any imperfections in a Lexus engine, because they are made using a vacuum cast.
  • The Lexus LS can be delivered with a custom wooden steering wheel. It's a highly complex addition that requires 67 separate manufacturing steps and usually takes about 31 days to build.
